The scheme involved the landscaping of a large family garden for an extensive town house in London following major refurbishments of the building including a large basement extension. The design required exceptionally high standards and finishes to be in keeping with the architecture and interior fit out of the building.
A generous natural stone terrace for dining and entertaining leads to a lawn area, large trees provide privacy and screen views to the clients mews apartment. Seamless glass balustrades set into the stone finishes protect two large light wells without detracting from the finishes and views into the garden.
Large bronze planters have been used to great effect with semi mature multi-stemmed hornbeams providing a link between the scale of the imposing townhouse and the garden. A timber pergola walkway provides viewpoints and the design incorporates areas to showcase the clients love of art and sculpture including a bespoke water feature.
