Reclaimed York stone paving was laid in a traditional running bond with varying course widths, all cut bespoke and hand dressed. A dining area was created under four large ‘roof top’ pruned Mulberry trees, pleached Hornbeams were also used to provide privacy from neighbouring properties. A lawn area was created, edged with large herbaceous borders. A small productive area with raised beds in woven willow was also created allowing space to grow herbs and vegetables. The result is a stunning cottage garden in the heart of the city.
